Manchester United Football Club is an English expert football association, founded in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, that performances in the Premier League. Founded as Newton Heath LYR Football Club in 1878, the association altered its title to Manchester United in 1902 and shifted to Old Trafford in 1910.
In 1968, under the administration of Matt Busby, Manchester United was the first English football association to win the European Cup, 10 years after the Munich air disaster that asserted the inhabits of eight players. The association is said to be worth £1.13 billion, producing it the most precious football association in the world. After being ridden high on the London Stock Exchange in 1991, the association was bought by Malcolm Glazer in May 2005 in a deal valuing the association at nearly £800 million.

Ferguson was subsequently knighted for his services to football. In 2000, Manchester United strove against in the inaugural FIFA Club World Championship in Brazil, and won the association afresh in the 1999–2000 and 2000–01 seasons. The group completed as runners-up in 2001–02, before retrieving the name in 2002–03. They won the 2003–04 FA Cup, drubbing Millwall 3–0 in the last at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
